Believing in a mission greater than herself, Deborah Reese Potts set out to make the world a better place as a mental health therapist and a school counseling coordinator. She specialized in guiding adolescents, and is particularly proud of having individuals come back to her and tell her that they are doing well and following their dreams. Her most recent role was that of mental health therapist for Baylor Scott & White Health, which she held from 2010 until her retirement in 2016. ​ In addition to her health endeavors, Ms. Potts also connected with others through writing. In love with books and reading for as long as she can remember, Valerie J. Morehouse has never regretted pursuing library science. She started by obtaining an Associate of Arts from Taft College in 1966, a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1968, and a Master of Science in library science from Simmons Graduate School of Library and Science in 1977, and continued on to become a certified professional librarian in the commonwealth of Massachusetts. Degrees in hand, Ms. Morehouse joined Plymouth Public Librarians as an assistant librarian and director, and she advanced rapidly from there.
