Who's Who of Professional Women

DONNA DOUGLAS

When confronted with the question of what she wanted to do with her life, Donna Douglas initially wasn’t sure how to answer. She knew she didn’t want to run the family business, a wholesale commercial greenhouse company, but also knew she loved being around people. After discussing it with her husband, Benny Douglas, she ultimately decided to obtain a real estate license. A contact in the field helped Donna secure a position, and she hasn’t missed a day since. She attributes her success in the field to the encouragement of her husband and her passion for the job, as well as to the great company she joined, United Country Lake Palestine in Henderson and Anderson Counties. They employ great marketing skills and integrity, and she really feels at home there. Her responsibilities include working with both buyers and sellers of residential properties, waterfront properties, farms, and ranches.

As a testament to her hard work and dedication, Donna earned the Five Star Professional Real Estate Award in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, as well as VIP Women of the Year recognition in 2013 and 2014. She also holds a diploma from Sam Houston State University and certification as an accredited buyer’s representative. To keep in touch with her community, she joined the National Association of Realtors, the Grace Community Church in Tyler, Texas, and the economic development committee for Coffee City. Prior to her current endeavors, Donna garnered experience as a Texas licensed auctioneer at the Douglas Auction Service and as an executive secretary at Drilco, Smith international.

Looking to the future, Donna hopes to be in the same East Texas area listing and selling real estate. She enjoys having the opportunity to help people make their dreams come true and to make lifelong friends. When she isn’t working, she can be found antiquing, bottle journaling, kayaking, and painting and hiding rocks for the kids in town.
