FAYE E. JACOBSON

Faye Jacobson

Faye E. Jacobson GRI, CRS, ABR, is a licensed associate broker celebrating more than four decades of helping clients find and purchase their dream homes. Specializing in residential purchases and multi-family homes, Ms. Jacobson prides herself on customer service and providing her clients with savvy market analysis. Before entering the real estate industry, she enjoyed a career in nursing. After graduating from high school, she began coursework at the Duluth School of Nursing and Anoka Ramsey Community College, becoming a licensed practical nurse in the early 1960s. After several years in the medical field, Ms. Jacobson left her position to work as a receptionist at an area real estate firm. As the parent of three children, she needed more flexibility and more income to provide for her family than nursing could offer, and when another member of the firm suggested that Ms. Jacobson should consider pursuing a real estate license, she was interested.

In 1978, Ms. Jacobson graduated from real estate school and became a licensed agent. Immediately, she found her passion for the field. Not only was she able to set flexible hours that allowed her to care for her family, but the challenges of navigating the market and connecting with potential buyers were perfectly suited to her talents. In 1997, she joined Counselor Realty, Inc. as an associate broker, where she quickly found success with both listing and purchasing properties, and established a specialty working with first-time homebuyers. Throughout her career, Ms. Jacobson has continued to refine her knowledge of the field and has added numerous additional certifications and credentials, becoming an accredited buyers’ representative and a certified residential specialist, and earning a prestigious Graduate Realtor Institute designation.

Ms. Jacobson continues to thrive with Counselor Realty, Inc., joining the company’s Million Dollar Club, and being named a Top Female Executive in 2015. She credits her success to her drive and focus coupled with the strong support and advice she received from her mentors early in her career. Ms. Jacobson describes herself as someone who “never sits still,” and she is constantly working to solve problems, learn something new, or connect with new clients, a quality she feels helps motivate her in a competitive industry. Her favorite part of her work is the ability to be there to see her clients accomplish their goals and life milestones, and she remembers the first house she sold as a career highlight. Ms. Jacobson bases her business on her core values of fairness, equity, and honesty, and believes that all people deserve a fair chance, especially when making a decision as important as finding a home.

While Ms. Jacobson remains enthusiastic and committed to her work, she hopes to retire eventually, and wants to be remembered as a consummate professional and team player who consistently gave her best effort for her colleagues and clients. In her leisure time, she volunteers for her local Meals on Wheels program and supports numerous community outreach projects through her church. Ms. Jacobson looks forward to further volunteer work upon retirement.
