LINDSEY BRUMFIELD

Lindsey BrumfieldSince 2012, Lindsey Brumfield has been the senior accountant for Cox Automotive, Inc. and the senior analyst and finance field support for Manheim Auctions. An expert in reconciliation, documentation, and deep-dive records and process evaluation, Ms. Brumfield celebrates more than 15 years of diverse financial management experience. As a middle school student, Ms. Brumfield idolized her mother Beth, a church bookkeeper, and loved to go with her to work to help around the office. She recalls wanting to grow up to do what her mother did, and that it “just took off from there.”

Ms. Brumfield earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Wright State University in 2007 after spending two years as an accounting intern for the school and began her career later that year as a financial planning assistant with Buckingham Financial Group. In 2008, she joined Cox Media Group as a financial analyst level one, earning a promotion to financial analyst level two in 2011. The following year, Ms. Brumfield accepted her current positions, working both as a senior accountant for Cox Automotive and a senior analyst for Manheim Auctions, where she handles accounting, record-keeping and management, and working with business partners and employees to balance accounts.

Among Ms. Brumfield’s most significant accomplishments with Cox Automotive was her work as co-lead on a project to transition account reconciliation operations from being done on-location to being done centrally, consolidating a team of almost 80 contractors down to just five. She attributes her success to her personality, flexibility, and willingness to help others, and hopes to continue working with Cox Automotive for years to come, expressing an interest in learning other aspects of the business. In her leisure time, Ms. Brumfield is dedicated to community service, and is a longtime volunteer for the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
