Lisa Allen-Urrea

The president of Allen-Urrea Commercial Brokerage in Albuquerque, New Mexico, since 2018, Lisa Allen-Urrea is extensively knowledgeable in the commercial real estate industry. Her main area of expertise lies in investment sales, land acquisition, tenant representation and retail development. Prior to becoming the owner of her own company, Ms. Allen-Urrea found success as the senior vice president of Sedberry & Associates in Albuquerque from 2003 to 2018. During her time with Sedberry & Associates, she was mentored by its president, John B. Sedberry, and the president of Strategic Asset Management, James K. Trump, both business leaders entrusted her with invaluable real estate acumen serving as a catalyst for her success.

Inspired by her grandfather, Joseph A. Goeke Sr., who owned a commercial brokerage and development firm in St. Louis, Missouri, Ms. Allen-Urrea knew she was destined for a career in real estate. A graduate of New Mexico State University, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in marketing and economics. After graduation, Ms. Allen-Urrea was selected as Miss New Mexico USA, traveling the state talking with high school students about achieving their dreams. Furthermore, she continued her business studies at the ICSC John T. Riordan Global School for Professional Real Estate Development in 2014, the Keith Cunningham School for Entrepreneurs and the Tony Robbins Success and Leadership Program in 2017. Currently, she is mentored by Dan Sullivan through his 10x Strategic Ambition Program.

Civically, Ms. Allen-Urrea was appointed by the governor to serve as vice chair on the Commission of Deaf and Hard of Hearing, board member of the Presbyterian Ear Institute, the director of the Go Red for Women campaign of the American Heart Association, and taught preschoolers in the Bible Study Fellowship children’s program for many years.

For her accomplishments in the industry, Ms. Allen-Urrea was selected to 2020 Who’s Who Top Executives, 2019 National Business Journal’s Top 100 Commercial Real Estate Influencers, 2019 Marquis Who’s Who, and Who’s Who of Top Women Executives. She is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Commercial Association of Realtors of New Mexico and Delta Sigma Pi.

Ms. Allen-Urrea attributes her success to her ability to identify invisible real estate and accelerate a client’s speed to market. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, playing golf, reading, country western dancing and celebrating life with her two sons and all she holds dear.
