MEREDITH L. HAFER

Meredith Hafer

Having worked on behalf of the Armstrong Flooring Corporation since 2012, Meredith L. Hafer distinguished herself as a residential channel marketing manager. She is likewise the chairperson of Armstrong’s Women’s Initiative Network, one of their diversity and infinity networks, a position which she regards as one of the highlights of her career. In her role at the Armstrong Flooring Corporation, Ms. Hafer’s responsibilities include leading her team to develop and execute channel strategies for all customers, as well as creating the three-year product roadmap, managing customer product line reviews, designing promotional calendars and market research. Having been with the Armstrong Flooring Corporation for numerous years, she has previously served as a finance business analyst, a procurement manager and a supply chain business analyst.

From chartering the Women’s Initiative Network at the Armstrong Flooring Corporation, the initiative has helped more than 250 employees foster an inclusive culture of leadership, in which talent among women is recognized and celebrated. According to the initiative description, WIN works toward building strong mutual support networks among members, facilitating mentoring opportunities, fostering career and personal development, supporting female advancement at work and benchmarking the diversity of the organization. Watching Armstrong’s improved diversity and inclusion culture has been Ms. Hafer’s greatest professional accomplishment to date.

Notably, Ms. Hafer has been recognized for her exemplary efforts in impeccably serving the Armstrong brand and, in 2017 and 2019, was the recipient of the Diamond Award from the company, as well as an Armstrong-Tungsten Award, Morado Award and Bronze Award. In the past, Armstrong World Industries has likewise named Ms. Hafer the “Procurement Cash Queen.” In 2018, the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce granted her the Lancaster Young Professional Lead Award and her alma mater, Mansfield University, awarded her with the Outstanding Senior Business & Economics Major Award.

Commencing her career in 2011, Ms. Hafer first worked with Fastenal as a business data analyst intern before advancing to a full-time position in insides sales in 2012. She is certified in tableau data management software, Karrass negotiation and in green belt six sigma. Regarding her civic endeavors, Ms. Hafer has been involved with the United Way, Homes for Our Troops, Upward Basketball and Lancaster Bible College.

While pursuing her professional ambitions, Ms. Hafer attained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Mansfield University in 2012. She is currently studying for a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University. A member of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce’s Lancaster Young Professional Network and United Methodist Church finance committee, she attributes much of her career success to the work ethic her parents instilled in her from a young age, as well as the support she has received from her twin sister. Looking towards the future in her career, Ms. Hafer would aim to occupy an executive leadership role so that she can engage and inspire women to break through the glass ceiling.
