Driven by her lifelong desire to become a doctor, Dr. Tasheema Fair first pursued her passion for medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where she earned an MD in 2005. Since then, she has become board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and has earned a reputation for excellence amongst her peers and communities. She entered the field because she wanted to make a difference; she truly cares about each and every one of her patients. Dr. Fair understands the importance of taking the time to carefully listen to each patient, assess their individual needs, and educate them on how to lead a healthier lifestyle. She finds it extremely rewarding to be able to help in the healing process. The highlight of her career was the first time she delivered a baby.
Dr. Fair is currently utilizing her expertise in her role as an obstetrician-gynecologist at All Women’s Care PLLC, in Maryville, Tenn. Her responsibilities with the private practice include administering treatments and consulting with patients, using her spiritual influence to ensure their optimal health. In the coming years, Dr. Fair plans to continue expanding the practice. She attributes her ongoing success to her diligence, hard work, and ability to follow a straight and narrow path, as well as to her extensive background and training.
Inspired by her father, who served in the military, Dr. Fair started her professional journey in the U.S. Army. She accrued years of active duty, including a four month deployment in Iraq in 2011 and a two year stint as a physician in the Department of Women’s Health at the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. Then, following a 13-year military career, she began to work as a reservist in private practice. She was recently reactivated and worked at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C. The experience taught her not to take anything for granted, to trust in her abilities, and to know when to ask for help. She also has a deep-rooted sense of humility, as she makes sure to always remember where she came from and that everyone is human and has faults. For her achievements in the military, Dr. Fair earned both Army commendation and achievement medals.
To ensure she remains connected to her peers and community, Dr. Fair maintains affiliation with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Georgia Medical Society, and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also speaks at engagements like the South Atlantic Conference of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and supports the charitable missions of her local church.
When Dr. Fair has free time, she enjoys shopping, reading, running, traveling, and exercising.
