Jane Whitehead has been interested in archaeology ever since she was a child. She pursued her dreams, and has led a brilliant career in the field of excavation, archaeological research, and education for more than 35 years. Notably, since 2004, she has been the director of the archaeological excavation of the Roman baths at Carsulae, Italy. The Roman baths have been exposed since its original excavation in 1950, but Dr. Whitehouse and her team hope to delve deeper into the plan and function of the site. Prior to this ongoing project, Dr. Whitehead was the director of the archaeological excavation of an Etruscan settlement in La Piana, Italy, from 1982 to 2002.
