Judith Sharp Cain, EdD, began her distinguished career in 1972 as an estimator for Dubroc and Associates Inc., in Lafayette, Louisiana. After nine years, she began working in various academic roles, initially serving as a middle school mathematics educator for the Lafayette Parish School Board and teaching at the Cathedral Carmel School in 1986. Maintaining her affiliation with the district into the present day, she has earned distinction as a workshop and in-services presenter since 1997, and notably held the title of a lead teacher between 1999 and 2013. Having earned the distinguished title of a professor emeritus in 2006, Ingegerd Hellström, MD, PhD, previously served as a faculty member at the University of Washington in Seattle for 40 incredible years. During this time, she notably instructed students as a professor of microbiology, pathology and immunology. Marjorie Baumberger, since her birth on a small Appalachian hill farm and attending a nearby one room school through the fourth grade, had the support of a community of neighbors working toward not only their own good but also that of the community.  Graduating high school, she was named class valedictorian.  At that time she considered attending college, however, it was several years later after volunteering for a two year term with the AmeriCorps National Service that Ms. Baumberger received her associate degree in business. After receiving a cancer diagnosis in 1996, Daveline Ching was greatly aided on her journey to recovery by the American Cancer Society. For 10 years, she battled thyroid cancer, and developed a rare and almost unknown disease that paralyzed her from the waist down. With help from the American Cancer Society, she was able to receive treatment at the Mayo Clinic, where she was diagnosed with Stiffman’s Syndrome.
