Initially considering becoming a teacher, she was greatly impacted by her experience falling ill from tetanus when she was 17. Holding considerable expertise in residential real estate, Kasidy B. Lowe began her studies with a Bachelor of Science in psychology with a minor in criminology and mental health from Middle Tennessee State University in 2013. From there, she pursued various real estate certifications and is currently certified in residential construction, ePro, new construction and as a new home specialist. Tkachuk taught for nearly 30 years before earning a master’s degree in administration and attaining the role of principal within the Archdiocese of Chicago. She is very grateful to her late husband for persuading her to return to school to pursue a master’s degree. Inspired to a career in medicine after the care she received when she was sick with gastritis at 13, Ellen Jane Killebrew, MD, has now cultivated considerable expertise in the field of electrocardiography. She first earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Bucknell University in 1959 before achieving her Doctor of Medicine from the New Jersey College of Medicine, now the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, in 1965. Subsequently, she completed an internship and residency at the University of Colorado between 1965 and 1968 and a cardiology fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco from 1968 to 1970. Shanna Y. Niehaus is a recent graduate of Hawai’i Pacific University. She achieved a Master of Public Administration in 2020, having previously earned a bachelor’s degree in diplomacy and military studies. Attributing much of her success to her drive to focus on current needs, Julianne Polito, EdD, first earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and began her career working as a consultant, manager and chef in Pittsburgh. Not feeling wholly satisfied in her work, she took a road trip, during which she explored a variety of historic places and reflected on what sort of career she might find fulfilling.
