NANCY EHLEN
Nancy Ehlen, MIS, CLHMS, IAHSP, GUILD, began her career as the owner and operator of The Painted Lady Salon from 1991 to 2004 and concurrently worked as a domestic engineer for Paradise Cove throughout that same period. In 1995, she married her husband, Tom Ehlen, a general contractor, and became part of his family business, which encompasses a showroom and a construction and installation company. Today, she works alongside her husband at Ehlen Floor Covering and Ehlen Construction. Once she left her salon business, Ms. Ehlen decided to pursue a career in real estate, since it would bring a new, highly complementary element to her husband’s existing construction business, and went on to achieve licensure as a real estate sales

LORI M. MCCARTER
Highly regarded for her skill and expertise as an addiction counselor, Ms. McCarter became involved in her profession based on her personal journey with recovery. For 16 years, she struggled with an alcohol addiction and is proud to have remained sober for the past 34 years. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the Lubbock School of Nursing in 1980, she was recruited for a nursing position at Cornerstone to Recovery. While serving in this capacity, she discovered that her true passion resided in counseling, leading her to attain an addiction counselor license in 1992. BRENDA DALE PERKINS BUTLER
Drawing inspiration from wonderful teachers she had as a child, Brenda Dale Perkins Butler had always known she wanted to emulate her educators and enlighten young minds. In 1971, she graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and would later conduct postgraduate coursework in economics and geography for teachers. At the start of her career, Ms. Butler taught at Lone Star Elementary School, part of the New Braunfels Independent School District, from 1971 to 1974 and was a summer school reading teacher at the San Marcos Academy in the summer of 1974.
