Who's Who of Professional Women

BRIDGETT A. MCKENZIE

Bridgett McKenzie

First earning a bachelor’s degree in home economics and driver’s education from Illinois State University in 1974, Bridgett A. McKenzie served as an administrative assistant for Marriott Lincolnshire from 1974 to 1980 and as a manager for the Baxter Credit Union from 1982 to 1988. During this time, she completed a Master of Business Administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 1985. In 2004, she joined BMAC Designs and became a real estate broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in 2014, after receiving certification from the Real Estate Institute. In 2021, Ms. McKenzie continued her career as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.

Having accomplished much throughout the years, Ms. McKenzie considers her favorite part of her career to be the relationships she gets to develop with others. This has led to the vast majority of her clients coming to her from either word-of-mouth referrals or through open houses, where she meets clients who may not have an agent or even know quite what they need. A particular moment of pride for her came when she helped a woman get a condo for her aunt and then ended up selling roughly 15 more units in that building. In order to keep abreast of developments in her field, she also holds membership in the National Association of Realtors. Looking toward the future, Ms. McKenzie hopes to keep working for as long as she is able, noting that she truly loves what she is doing.

Ms. McKenzie’s goal is always to make her client happy with their purchase or sale, and she wants to continue to cultivate her passion for making people happy in a business she loves. In addition to expanding her business in Chicago, she also intends to branch out and do work in California and Arkansas, having recently acquired her real estate license for California and planning to get a new license for Arkansas as well. For her excellence, Ms. McKenzie was ranked among the Top Sales Professionals by the International Diamond Society and Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC in 2021, and had previously been presented with several accolades by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, including the Honor Society Award in 2018 and the Leading Edge Award in 2015 and 2020.
