Diane Cantine Dunne’s epic career is a testament to the level of skills required for success in the New York City real estate business. Born in Milwaukee, she obtained a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University before graduating with an Executive Master of Business Administration from New York University. Ms. Dunne’s professional career subsequently began in the advertising industry in New York, where she achieved some of her earliest career accolades as the manager of advertising at NBC and the director of marketing for CBS. At the time, advancing to management positions at these major networks garnered the same admiration as becoming an executive at Google or Microsoft in the modern era. Later she was an executive in Bloomingdale’s marketing department, followed by consulting positions to American Express and DuPont de Nemours.
With a wealth of applicable experience at her disposal, Ms. Dunne entered the real estate industry and became an associate broker for the Corcoran Group. Her impressive sales record at the firm would eventually earn her membership in their revered Multimillion Dollar Sales Club. She was also included in the Top 1 Percentile of 56,000 Sales Associates in the U.S. Ms. Dunne moved to the legendary Brown Harris Stevens Real Estate firm where she continues to help clients find the homes of their dreams.
She remains active as a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and was a member of the Women’s Economic Roundtable, which appointed her to their board of directors in 1998. Ms. Dunne is also a staunch supporter of the arts and a founding member of the Endowment Society for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. She has additionally provided generous donations to the New York City Ballet, the New York City Metropolitan Opera, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where her name was on the wall for years, the Frick Collection, the New York Philharmonic and Carnegie Hall.
She is a fan of football, tennis and baseball, enjoyed sky diving and was formerly an ardent rollerblader in Central Park.
