Joni B. Redick-Yundt is an author, coach, entrepreneur, and financial specialist with WestPac Wealth Partners celebrating more than 30 years of success helping others plan for their dreams and find the resources to achieve them. Born and raised in an economically disadvantaged area in the Philippines, Ms. Redick-Yundt moved to the United States with her family as a teen, and attributes her drive to the lessons she learned from her humble beginnings. She holds a degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii, and earned her nursing certification at Kapiolani Community College. Before entering the financial services industry, Ms. Redick-Yundt spent 20 years as an emergency room nurse and Mary Kay consultant, breaking area sales records and directing a team of representatives.
In 1999, Ms. Redick-Yundt began her financial services career as a representative for Guardian Life Insurance after suffering the sudden loss of her older sister in a vehicle accident. Just three months earlier, her sister had declined life insurance, and after seeing the financial toll that funeral planning took on her retired parents, Ms. Redick-Yundt began to see the insurance industry in a new light. Committed to ensuring that no family would have to bear the same hardship, she dedicated herself to educating and supporting her clients in finding the right solutions for their needs, earning the Rookie of the Year Award and a promotion to sales manager. She was named to Guardian Life Insurance’s Million Dollar Roundtable, Leaders Club, and Centurion Club, and became the first woman named to the company’s Top Ten Outstanding Field Management list before accepting her current role with WestPac Wealth Partners in 2014.
A natural entrepreneur, Ms. Redick-Yundt has launched several independent business ventures in addition to her work in financial planning. Currently, she is the owner of Joni’s Paradise Limousine, which has enjoyed nearly 10 years of operation, and the co-owner and founder of a school for certified nursing assistants. She is passionate about philanthropy and community service, especially providing scholarships and business education. She is the chief executive officer and founder of FAMES Hawaii, a nonprofit organization providing mentoring and education for entrepreneurs and business owners, as well as the owner and executive director of the Miss Paradise Hawaii, Miss Oahu, and Miss Waikiki Scholarship Pageants. As the 2001 Mrs. Honolulu International, 2002 Mrs. Hawaii United States, and 2000 first runner-up Ms. Hawaii Filipina, Ms. Redick-Yundt understands the impact that scholarship pageants can have on participants, and she continues to offer coaching to young women involved in the Miss Hawaii family of events.
Ms. Redick-Yundt volunteers for organizations such as the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation, and the Domestic Violence Association Center, among many others. She is a motivational speaker and the author of two motivational books, “Million Dollar Attitude” in 2007 and “It’s All About Attitude: Still Sexy at Sixty!” in 2020, and hopes to continue providing coaching, education, and business leadership workshops for years to come. In recognition of her outstanding accomplishments and leadership, Ms. Redick-Yundt has been named Hawaii Magazine’s 2014 U.S. Small Business Champion of the Year, one of In Magazine’s 2006 Top Five Most Intriguing People in Hawaii, and a United States Small Business Administration Businesswoman Advocate of the Year, among many other honors.
