Hardworking and passionate, Margaret Evans wore a variety of hats over the course of her career. She started as a systems engineer with IBM Corp., and then became a systems supervisor at the U.S. Naval Academy and the marketing director of Fawcett Publications. From there, Ms. Evans raised to vice president and client service director of Neodata Services and director of marketing and sales at Palm Coast Florida Data Ltd. She retired from the latter role in 2003.

Ms. Evans prepared for her endeavors by earning a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 1960. She then obtained leadership positions with prominent organizations in her community, which helped her remain up to date with industry developments. Over the years, she served as the president of the Fulfillment Management Association, a board member of the Direct Marketing Club of New York City, the program chair of the American Management Association, and a member of the Sales Executive Club of New York.

Some of the highlights of Ms. Evans’ journey were making sure every customer got the best service she could give and meeting other professionals in the business. She is a real people person, so these connections meant a lot to her. Ms. Evans was also proud of being inducted into the National Fulfillment Society’s Fulfillment Hall of Fame and of being the recipient of the Special Service Award in 1980. Notably, her achievements were featured in Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the Media and Communication, and Who’s Who in the East.

Now that Ms. Evans is no longer working, she enjoys pursuing interests such as reading, writing, poetry and cooking.
