V. VANESSA SIFFORD-GRIFFITH

Col. V. Vanessa Sifford-Griffith began her career at the University of Cambridge, where she earned a Master of Music in piano and a Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry and physics in 1982. When she returned to the United States, she took a job driving a truck as she looked for a position that was better suited to her taste and skill level. She was subsequently introduced to fiber optics by a road crew she encountered on one of her hauls, and she achieved certification in fiber optics from The Light Brigade Inc. in 1983. After a decade in the field, Col. Sifford-Griffith became president of Snake Fiberoptic’s Ltd. International in 1993, where she remains to this day.

With considerable expertise in telecommunications, lighting and fiber optics, Col. Sifford-Griffith has accomplished much over the course of her career. She considers the highlight of her career to be the first time she lit a home without electricity or solar energy, but solely through the use of fiber optics. Alongside her primary responsibilities, she has also found success as an author with her book “Addiction” and in her time spent with the Texas Rangers, where she achieved the rank of colonel. Additionally, Col. Sifford-Griffith was involved in the early establishment of Red Nose Day in the 1980s.

Throughout her career, Col. Sifford-Griffith has kept learning, which led to her completion of a Doctor of Divinity and obtaining designation as a natural herbologist. For her excellence in both her career and academic endeavors, she has received a number of honors from her alma maters. Her plans for the future include beginning to work with elderly and ill individuals to help them find and recover their health through natural means. To young and aspiring professionals, Col. Sifford-Griffith would give the advice, “Be honest, and don’t bite the hand that feeds you.”
