Vida Buckley

A Christian, wife, mother and author, Vida Buckley has found success with such written works as “Broken Beyond Belief,” “I Feel Like Popcorn” and “That Ain’t Christian.” She writes self-help books from her very own life experience in order to help someone else move forward in their day-to-day life. Since 1997, she has also dedicated herself to her community as a minister. Apart from her religious and writing endeavors, Ms. Buckley has gained valuable expertise in contract coordination as a contract coordinator for AbbVie Inc., where she has held a number of positions including as a contract coordinator II and clinical project assistant.

In her current role as a contract coordinator, Ms. Buckley manages all inbound requests for contract processing, assigns contracts to appropriate attorneys for processing, advises clients of required tasks, reviews forms and validates all attachments, and operates as a liaison between clients and approvers when further approval or changes are required. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable expertise in the field in varying positions with Manpower, ADECCO and Kraft Foods, for which she served as a procurement coordinator, an administrator of dairy procurement and an administrative assistant. In order to further her knowledge of the field, Ms. Buckley obtained a certification in business administration and management from Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Buckley became involved in her profession because many years ago, she was trying to figure out what she should do as a career. She would pray to the Lord and ask for guidance. Eventually, she realized that she was to speak and preach to people. Her pastor pulled her aside one day and told her that is the path she should take. At first, Ms. Buckley did not think that would be the right fit for her, but after realizing there was a need for the profession, she decided to take action. It was important to create a safe environment for people to be free to be whoever they are or help those in need.

Throughout her career thus far, Ms. Buckley has been honored numerous times, accepting Excellence Awards in 2009 and 2010. She was additionally presented with the Above and Beyond Award from Kraft Foods. She attributes her success to God, but also a lot of her success to the development and mentorship she received while working at Kraft Foods, Inc. She has always been willing to put in the hard work necessary to learn, produce and stay on track with the work she is doing. Looking toward the future, Ms. Buckley aims to establish her church and hire additional ministers, as it is her dream to touch the lives of those she meets.
